BSVRGN
Unpacking Black Sovereignty
Solidarity | Self-Determination | Reparations

About
BSVRGN believes in the possibility of a future where Black communities are self-sufficient and capable of redefining their collective humanity, liberation, and futures.

Black sovereignty can be achieved through
cultural, economic, and political divestment, which requires:
-
Building independent Black spaces that do not seek external approval or validation.
-
Refusing to participate in institutions built on Black suffering, exploitation, and oppression.
-
Transforming the ways we engage with one another and exist in community.
-
Confronting, unlearning, and rejecting anti-Black ideologies and ahistorical narratives.
Vision

"For there are no new ideas —— there are only old and forgotten ones, new combinations, extrapolations and recognitions from within ourselves, along with the renewed courage to try them out."
